Work with your accountant

Inviting your accountant gives them the same live view of your books that you have, without handing over your own login.

What they can see

Your accountant sees everything in your organisation: your invoices, bills, bank feed, reports, tax estimate and Radar insights, exactly as you see them. This includes your tax identifiers (your National Insurance number, Unique Taxpayer Reference and VAT number), because your accountant sees these on paper too, and needs them to file on your behalf.

What they can do

Your accountant can explain bank transactions and set up rules, import statements, keep categories and journals, and prepare, adjust and file VAT returns and Making Tax Digital updates through the HMRC connection you've authorised. They can also export reports and the accountant pack, and use Finble to ask questions about your figures.

What they can't do

Your accountant can't raise or edit invoices, estimates, expenses, bills or payments, and can't change contacts, projects, time, properties, tenancies, mileage or cash flow items. They also can't touch your settings, connections, subscription or team; those stay with you and any other admin.

Removing your accountant

Remove your accountant from Settings → Team at any time; they lose access immediately. If you invite a replacement, you can only have one active accountant at a time, so remove the current one first.
